The Silsbee Tiger boys and girls track teams won the Lumberton Raider Relays held at Raider Stadium yesterday. The boys scored 118 to edge second place Bridge City at 116. BC scored 40 points in the last two races compared to Silsbee's 10 points to cut the margin down to two but was not enough. Silsbee was led by Jeremy Johnson and Chris Roundtree as both won their respective events that they participated in except for one.  Johnson won first in the long jump, 100 meters, and was the anchor leg on the winning 4X100 relay. Roundtree won the 110 and 300 hurdles and also finished 5th in the triple jump. Silsbee took two of the three relays, winning the 4X100 and 4X200. BC won the 4X400.

The girls won in dominating fashion as they scored 126 points to distance themselves from second place finisher Kountze at 86. The Lady Tigers were led by Douglas who won both hurdle events, 100and 300, and placed 2nd in long jump and third in triple jump. Silsbee's top jumper Chastity Foster did not compete in this meet because she will be competing at the Texas Relays this week. Congrat now it time for district. THe girls look to be the winner of the district. Who else from 21-3A of girls track team that excel well this season? The boys has some tough competition heading into district. BC and WO-S are not easy team to pass by. HF 4x1 and 4x2 has done some pretty good job in a few track meet this year too.
