LamarStatesports Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 The Lamar State College-Port Arthur softball team will be on the road Saturday for a Region XIV doubleheader at Bossier Parish Community College in Bossier City, La. The Seahawks are 6-22 overall and 4-12 in conference after splitting a Wednesday home doubleheader with Angelina College. Lamar State topped the Lady Roadrunners, 9-3, in the first game. But the Seahawks spotted Angelina eight runs in the first inning of the nightcap and, although their bats were very active, lost 14-12. Bossier Parish (18-14, 5-7) split a Region XIV doubleheader Wednesday at Navarro College. Lamar State will be back in action Monday in Tyler for a non-conference doubleheader against the junior varsity team from the University of Texas-Tyler.
