skipper Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 will these two teams ever play each other agan soon.
NDNWarrior Posted April 3, 2009 Report Posted April 3, 2009 Would be nice to see these two teams "hammer" it out!
griff Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 The scheduling decision for WO-S vs. Newton won't be made until August. Both schools have to wait for Coop's hurricane tracking reports.
skipper Posted April 4, 2009 Author Report Posted April 4, 2009 ;D ;D ;D ;D i feel sure he will do better this year
stangchain Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 Mother Nature intervened the last couple of scheduled meetings, thankful I'm sure, on both sides on opposite years. That being said, I think it was a good test for both sides. Always seemed like a close game.
ChampionEagles Posted April 4, 2009 Report Posted April 4, 2009 I'm not real superstitous, but I think Mother Nature REALLY Don't want these two teams to schedule one another. It would be a great game and Newton has not ever beat West Orange so it would be a real test. Mother Nature sure has a strong vote though.
skipper Posted April 5, 2009 Author Report Posted April 5, 2009 two of the best hight school football programs in the state getting after it.man oh man your talking about a good game that would be it
Slam14 Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 They could end up in the same district before long. ???
td Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 They could end up in the same district before long. ??? That's not funny at all! That would be my worse nightmare. Unless Newton moved up in classification.
td Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 Could happen in 4 years! WO-S could drop. Let me try that again. Sad to say but when we drop to 2A I'm out and looking for a place to play my two boys.
OrangeFBfan Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 I don't see WO-S dropping down to AA anytime soon. My son’s entire kindergarten class for the 08-09 school year has more than 220 kids alone. It'll be fine.
KFDM COOP Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 That's true. maybe there are some bigger classes coming up, but that top number for 2A keeps going up to.
td Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 I don't see WO-S dropping down to AA anytime soon. My son’s entire kindergarten class for the 08-09 school year has more than 220 kids alone. It'll be fine. The younger ages aren't the problem. It's when they get older that they move away. My daughter is a freshman and had a big class when they were younger but it keeps shrinking. > Now my boys are in the 3rd and 4th grade so it will work out perfect for me if we drop in 4 years. If we don't then even better.
WOSHIGHc/o2001 Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 I was pissed when we went down to 3A. At this rate when will WOS be playing 6 man football?
stangchain Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 I think there will be some sort of merger before WOS goes to 2A. Just my opinion.
Guest thinkaboutit Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 but the topic is newton vs wo-s yet, newton will have to get ALOT better to be able to get on even a level to contend
skipper Posted April 6, 2009 Author Report Posted April 6, 2009 newton, has always been one of the best teams in the state.newton has one of the best coaches in this great state of texas ,his record proves it and the fans there are super
Bucof2010 Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 WOS has a killer team for next year Newton seems a little down right now...not down compared to most teams but down for Newton
skipper Posted April 6, 2009 Author Report Posted April 6, 2009 newton will be fine just watch and see. you guys there have a kock out program year in year out .
WOSHIGHc/o2001 Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 newton, has always been one of the best teams in the state.newton has one of the best coaches in this great state of texas ,his record proves it and the fans there are super They might have one of the best coaches because of his record. He might be great to the kids and community like has been said, but the way he talked about some teams to the media is just crazy to me. Growing up listening to Coach Hooks and hearing him say positive things about teams that we are about crush is different than what happens in Newton. I don't have the article, but it was talked about on here last season. I may have just opened a can of worms, but I don't care. I'm watching the NCAA Basketball Finals and its boring and baseball season is just too long.
ndallas Posted April 6, 2009 Report Posted April 6, 2009 I think there will be some sort of merger before WOS goes to 2A. Just my opinion. I sure hope you are right. It's harder to get the exposure the smaller the school.
