Ty Cobb Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 The RANGERS just can't figure out how to beat those dang tigers. Hopefully they will rebound with a series sweep of the astros.
bullets13 Posted May 22, 2009 Author Report Posted May 22, 2009 gave up a 5 run lead, but ended up beating the stros in extras 6-5! big win for the rangers to turn it around! i'll be there in person tomorrow!
cardinals4life Posted May 24, 2009 Report Posted May 24, 2009 the yankees had pena most recent before they released him an the rays picked him up next year he hits 40 homeruns
bullets13 Posted May 25, 2009 Author Report Posted May 25, 2009 HUGE 3 game sweep for the rangers over the stros. it was important for two reasons... they had just been swept by the tigers, and they needed this to keep their lead over the angels, and also they have the yankees in town this week, and it's going to be tough for them to take that series. right now the yanks are up over the rangers 10-0...
bullets13 Posted May 27, 2009 Author Report Posted May 27, 2009 the difference between this team and the teams of the last several years... after getting pounded 11-1 in the series opener against the almighty yanks, the rangers come back with solid starting pitching and a great effort from the bullpen and win game two.
bullets13 Posted May 27, 2009 Author Report Posted May 27, 2009 they're getting pounded again tonight, but that doesn't change the fact that the rangers, after 46 games, have the BEST record in the AL, and the 2nd best record in the majors.
bullets13 Posted May 29, 2009 Author Report Posted May 29, 2009 a nice come from behind win for the rangers today in game one of a double header against the A's. two wins today would be really nice, especially if the halos lose.
bullets13 Posted May 29, 2009 Author Report Posted May 29, 2009 they took both games tonight! 10 games over .500!!!
bullets13 Posted May 30, 2009 Author Report Posted May 30, 2009 the rangers just thumped the A's 14-1, and the Angels lost 4-3 in 10 to Seattle. With their modest 3 game win streak, and the Angel's 2 game losing streak, the Rangers' lead has swelled to a very healthy 5 1/2 games. they still have the best record in the A.L. This has been a very important series for the Rangers, and they could really use another win tomorrow before they go play 3 in new york and then 3 in boston.
bullets13 Posted May 31, 2009 Author Report Posted May 31, 2009 rough day for the rangers. they scored two in the 7th and two in the 8th to tie it at 4, but gave up a run in the 9th and lost. to make matters worse, the mariners blew a 6 run lead and lost 9-8 to the angels. the rangers still lead by 4 1/2 games, but they have the yanks and bosox this week. against the yanks they'll face burnett, petitte, and sabathia.
bullets13 Posted June 3, 2009 Author Report Posted June 3, 2009 the rangers manned up again tonight. after getting pounded in the bronx last night, i was a little worried how they'd handle it, but the got great pitching all around and won 4-2.
bullets13 Posted June 5, 2009 Author Report Posted June 5, 2009 after losing of 2 of 3 to the yanks, the rangers get a great game from milwood and win the series opener against the bosox 5-1!
michaelturd Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 Hopefully Mike Maddux will keep this pitching staff from imploding. He was the best move Texas made in the offseason, and bringing Elvis Andrus up.
bullets13 Posted June 7, 2009 Author Report Posted June 7, 2009 rangers win today, again on the strength of a quality start and quality relief pitching. that means they took two of three at fenway, and one of three in new york. a 3-3 road trip at boston and new york is nothing to sniff at, and their win today, coupled with an angels' loss, means they're back up to a 4 1/2 game lead over the angels, which is where they started the road trip!
bullets13 Posted June 7, 2009 Author Report Posted June 7, 2009 As a Yankees' fan, thank you Rangers and as a ranger's fan, thank you daisuke matsusaka!
bullets13 Posted June 11, 2009 Author Report Posted June 11, 2009 great win for the rangers tonight, 1-0 on the strength of fantastic pitching and defense! the halos got pounded tonight, so the rangers are back to a 4 1/2 game lead!
bullets13 Posted June 12, 2009 Author Report Posted June 12, 2009 the rangers got their second shutout win in a row, beating the best team in baseball 6-0. good start against the dodgers!
bullets13 Posted June 16, 2009 Author Report Posted June 16, 2009 the rangers spanked the stros tonight, 6-1.
westend1 Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Hate it for the Stros, but love those Rangers!
