2009 Red Devil Boys Basketball Shoot-outs

We will be hosting the following SHOOT-OUT boys’ basketball tournaments:

2009 Red Devil Spring Shoot-out

High School, Middle School, and Intermediate gyms

May 15-16

2 Divisions:

High School Division

Middle School Division (Will be played at Pollock Central)

4 game minimum

Entry fee: $150.00

Entry deadline: May 12

2009 Red Devil Summer Shoot-out

High School, Middle School, and Intermediate gyms

June 12-13

3 Divisions:

Division I – High School Varsity

Division II – High School Sub-varsity

Middle School Division

4 game minimum

Entry fee: $150.00

Entry deadline: June 5

General Information:

1.   Teams must be comprised of players from the same school with High School eligibility remaining

2.   We will play “POOL†play with all teams advancing to a single elimination bracket

3.   Game play will follow high school rules with the following exceptions:

a.   Games will consist of (2) 20 minute halves, with a running clock expect the last 2:00 of each half. *Sub-varsity and all Bracket games will be (2) 16 minute halves

b.   All shooting fouls will be 1 for 2 or 1 for 3 free-throw situation.  Bonus will be shot after (7) team fouls and will be shot as 1 and 1 situation.

c.   Each team will have (3) time-outs per game

d.   Overtime will be 2:00, and each team will get (1) additional time-out.

4.   Teams must be accompanied by a team coach, or have a school coach or employee present at the game

5.   Warm up balls, water, and training supplies will NOT be supplied

6.   Each team will be responsible for providing either a scorekeeper or clock keeper for each game

7.   To register, fill out the entry form and mail both the entry as well as a $75.00 deposit to Huntington High School, ATTN: Tim Bartlett, PO Box 328, Huntington, TX 75949.  Checks should be made payable to Huntington Summer Basketball.

*Proceeds benefit Huntington Summer Basketball. Huntington Summer Basketball is a non-profit organization established by parents and community members and has no affiliation with Huntington ISD or coaching staff.

Not much need for security unless a few Setx teams show up.......local security should be in body slamming camps that week.... ;D
