bdm06 Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Big win for the Stangs...They really needed this one...congrats and keep it up
Rake1 Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Great game at WO-S tonight!! Zane Anderson pitched a terrific game tonight, worked himself out of a couple of really tough jams. The pickoff at first killed HF, they really had the table set and were ready to do some damage. Anderson kept HF off balance all night, the mustangs got some timely hits, and HF did not play well defensively. A true nail biter until the end. One observation from the game is that HF really lacks any discipline, they are really bad at yelling at each other and the kid that threw the helmet when they pinch ran for him needs to be glad he wasn't playing anywhere else because he would have paid for that outburst no doubt. I believe the same guy hit a long foul ball and ran the bases until it was called foul, then he walks from behind the mound all the way back to the box like he's Manny Ramirez or something, really showed some attitude.
td Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Zane Anderson pitched a great game for WOS. Not sure who the pitcher was for HF but he was a good left hander. Congrats to the Mustangs.

redlegs Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 jake minaldi pitched for hf.... zane anderson lost his no hitter in the 5th and finished with either a 2 or 3 hitter...

Critter Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 With the Mustangs and Bobcats win, I think it makes a 3 way tie for second........Gotta LOVE 21-3A Baseball.

Rockin A Posted April 13, 2009 Report Posted April 13, 2009 Responsibility lies solely with the coach, the person who gets paid to properly deal with this bad behavior. Parents screaming negative things about the umpire or the opposing players don't help either. Good or bad, adults set the example. I've seen this with HF's team for some time now, and it's a shame that it's allowed to go on. Make an example of the player throwing a temper tantrum, especially a kid who THINKS he's a superstar, and the tone is set. There are some tremendous athletes playing for HF; however, if the coach doesn't fix the behavior before it's too late, the Horns may be the team watching three other teams compete in the post-season. Congrats, Stangs!
