mjones830
Of all the people that post on this site, post your largest BASS that you’ve ever caught. If you know the year, post it as well. Also post the lake it was caught on.

liltex
1985-Mar 15-place pecker wood point near black forest Sam Rayburn-certified wt.by game warden at Jackson hill marina.Fish caught 9 am-3'water near buck brush-lure bloodline blue w/black core 6" lizard.Did not weight fish till 2 pm-weighed 11lbs.3 1/4 oz.warden asked if I knew what the new lake record was caught a week earlier.I said no sir.He said Ken Cook-b.a.s.s. fisherman caught a 12.12 in Veach Basin.I asked why do you tell me this?Because I est. you have 2 lbs.of eggs in your livewell. The same day I caught my fish Randy Dearman Livingston guide caught 4 bass over 10 lbs.on a spook topwater and said he broke 1 off that would push 16 lbs.I hooked a bigger fish a few years later on the north side of the island out from Cassell Boykin park and had her pinned around a tree top inches below the surface that broke me off as the net came within inches of a catch. She was alot bigger than my 1985 catch.I did manage 20 th place in the 2nd annual McDonalds big bass tourn.w/a 4.56 caught on rattletrap near the deerstand area.A lady from Cleveland,Tx.won it w/a 6.96 that year.See how the fishery has grown since. bh89-2
Had a 14.4 in March 2006 on Choke Canyon fishing near the danm. The next week had an 11.58 during the bass champs tournament and won big bass and ended up with 11th place. The last cast of the day during that tournament I had a fish equal to the 11.58 bite-off my ole monster worm right at the boat as I was reeling up. dang fish bit the worm off about 1/2 an inch behind my 5/0 Gamagatsu hook. Had we landed it we would have won the tournament. Best part of it all is my fishing partner weighed the bag of fish and took his picture with the big bass for the story credit and web site while I was moving the boat from the weigh area....LOL He thought that was funny and never told Chad (Bass Chams) any different.....LOL 11th place of 179 entries ED CALDERONE JODY JACKSON 5 fish/alive 11.58lbs 29.42 total weight winnings $1000.00 + $1000.00 Big Bass + $260 Keel Sheild Bonus Headed to Falcon and Sugar Lake next Thursday to bake in the sun and try to boat another monster. Will update if we get one.
