KFDM COOP Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 21-5A opens tennis, track contests From sports staff reports Baytown Sun Published April 15, 2009 Qualifying spots for the Region III-5A meets are up for grabs in both tennis and track in District 21-5A meets that begin today. Lee’s boys, the Rockhold Relays team champions, will be after a team title in the track meet held at North Shore’s ninth-grade campus today and Friday. The meet begins with field events at 4 p.m. and running preliminaries are set for 5:30 p.m. Running finals are set for 5 p.m. Friday. Lee College hosts the District 21-5A tournament today and Thursday. Action begins at 9 a.m. and play continues through the semifinal rounds, scheduled to being at approximately 4:30 p.m. Bracket finals and third-place matches begin at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Thursday with playbacks following. Directions to the District 21-5A track meet: The track is located at 13501 Hollypark Dr. and is best accessed by taking I-10 west to north Beltway 8, and take the first exit off the beltway at Woodforest Blvd. Go left on Woodforest approximately a mile. The track backs up to Woodforest.
