akifan94 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 What has happened to Lumberton's baseball program?
KFDM COOP Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 They've done alright this year, If they wouldn't have lost last night they still had a shot at the Playoffs. Plus they are young.
Guest baseball25 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 from 99-2003 the program was really good. But it was good because they had alot of talent in the span of 2001-2003 yr you had 11 players go play at the college level so the talent pool has to step up and I think the sophmore class might be able to get to the playoffs but you never know ..This yr team is young and will take its bumps and bruises but next yr and the year after could be good years for them and maybe they will get the program picked back up.......
NHS83LU87 Posted April 21, 2009 Report Posted April 21, 2009 I thought they had a fighting chance to make the playoffs but it just doesn't seem in the cards. As far as being young, if you look at Nederland and PNG's starting lineup you see more sophomore, then juniors, than you do seniors. Nederland only has to fill two spots defensively next year and PNG only has to fill three. The whole district, except LCM, is young this year. Makes for some good competitive years ahead.
