nikespeed
The cop here went to far on the kid the student was trying to walk away from the fight after he realized it wouldnt happen and out of nowhere langley grabs the kid by the throat and instinctively just started pushing the cop away then the cop tackled him into the pepsi machine and they were rolling around and the cop tased the student who weighs no more than 145 pounds and the cop is close to 300 there was no sense in tasing him or grabbing him he wasnt even trying to fight anymore, langley took it way too far! TheBigSwitch
nikespeed You must be one of those bleeding heart liberals that think no one is ever resonsilbe for there actions or that no kid is ever wrong it is always us adults. From what the news reported the kid punched him in the face a few times, and he was treated at the hospital and released. I really don't think the kid was just walking away. Atleast all of the kids that I talked to that watched it happen said he was fighting the officer. I think the officer did what he should have done. nikespeed
just saying i was standing there the whole time and btw the only reports they took were from baseball students who were already escorted out of the cafeteria and a few others they have two cameras on either side of that hall and if they would just take the film out all this would be settled but when they asked for them too look at the film the principle said " thats if we got it on film" they always have the cameras on and nothing was blocking the way if they would just check the film it could be resolved. and when the cop grabbed him he was nowhere in sight of the baseball kids and was walking out of the cafeteria. so whats the point of walking up and grabbing the student by his neck. there is none and the officer should face it. and seriously there was not a thing wrong with the cops eye while he was walking away. him going to the hospital seems kind of like a cover up. hornets85
nikespeed I will bet you where one of the students egging him on. As soon as the kid hit the officer it became a felony. First the student should have not been fighting with anyone. He needs to take responsibility for his actions. You need to take responsibility for your own if you are others where egging him on to fight. By doing that the issue was blown up more than it should have been. PURPLE 4EVER
If the student that was tased would have LISTENED AND TREATED THE COP as an authority figure NOTHING LIKE THIS would have happened. That is what is wrong with many of our kids. They DONT respect authority.

nikespeed
none of you who are talking know anything about it your going off of what he or she said or i heard this the kid did not punch the cop or kick him in the head to make him lose vision the cop grabbed him by the throat and he started pushing him away telling him to get off nowhere did the kid throw a punch or kick him and esspecially not hard enough to make a grown man "lose his vision" and no im not a kid who was egging him on i was just like every other kid trying to watch what happened. the student was litteraly walking out of the cafeteria right next to mrs estes "the principle" when the cop grabbed him so i dont think any of you have the right to accuse the kid of anything when you dont know what happened. and there was no fight that even took place like they said on the news noone hit anyone nothing had even happened so they have that wrong too

nikespeed
of course the teachers will not take the students side and your witness? yeah i bet thats all true \ if you talked to any kid that was there they would say the same i know plenty of people who are pretty mad about this and the teachers wont even let them say a word about it. if they hear you talking about it walking down the halls they tell you to shutup? whats up with that? dayton
whose johhny? you cant even get the name right smart one little johnny is a synonym of sorts for a kid "who never does anything wrong?" : syn·o·nym Pronunciation: \ˈsi-nə-ˌnim\ Function: noun 1: one of two or more words or expressions of the same language that have the same or nearly the same meaning in some or all senses

You can argue your point all you want, but your account of the situation makes little sense. I realize that some cops are bad, just like some people are bad. I'm sure if the cop did anything wrong, it will come out. I was not there, but the witnesses that were tell a completely different story. The credibility of your story might be taken a little more serious if you form complete sentences and use a period every once in a while.
hornets85
nikespeed you may not be one that is egging him on but I bet you don't know the whole sequence of events. I Agree with nikespeed's assessment of the situation. some of the witnesses,if this kid is charged, said that there may have been ten seconds before the kid was tased. IN THEIR EYES , the kid seemed to realized what he had done and backed off ,then he was grabbed and tased. THEY ALSO SAID THERE WAS NO FIGHT JUST ALOT OF NAME CALLING AND PROFILING NO PUNCHES THROWN UNTIL THE KID WAS GRABED BY THE THROAT !!! The player whom started this incident and fought if you believe the news report " how stupid now if any of the facts were inaccurate LCM and the police locked themselves in a bad position" the students who fight are charged with assault, have to go in front off "THE JUDGE", and are kicked out of athletics! Crouch said so yesterday !!!! By the way, this kid,s mother will not let this go down if there is any hint of a cover up. SHe is the lady who was giving Coach Moody hell at the Lumberton game!!! "Madea" is a girl scout campaired to her!!!!!! OUT Of all the parents , this may not be the one to mess with, drop the charges exspell thekid and kick the other out of the program! setxguru
I will tell you one thing all this does prove is how much progress the Bears have already come under Coach Crouch. In the 6 weeks that Crouch has been the head man, the offseason has already strengthened a kid enough to where he knocked a man's vision out. There is no way this could have happened under Moody, because the kid would not be strong enough!!

#1 Cheater
My kid was sitting in the cafeteria when it happened and said that he did swing at the cop and fought him until he tazed him. So I guess there are some different versions from eye witnesses. nike so far you are the only one that seems to think the kid did nothing wrong. You must be his buddy
txstar
That young man got what he had coming. When a law enforcement officer gives you a directive, you should do as you are told...when a teacher, coach, principal tells you to do something, you should do as you are told. The cafeteria is a really bad place to get into a fight...there are alot of innocent people who can get hurt and it will disrupt the entire student body for the remainder of the day if not longer. The issue is bigger than the fight...what kind of society do we have when we have to have law enforcement in our schools. This young man faces alot worse than getting tased...he will be suspended, probably expelled and placed into a Alternative school, not to mention the ramifications from his coach for him CHOOSING TO FIGHT AT SCHOOL. Now the assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent and probably the superintendent are all going to be tied to dealing with this one situation for days...and TAKS is next week. Not a good situation!
thetragichippy
Gonna show my age, but anyone remember back in the day when you could fight at school and it was no big deal? My father always told me to never back down from a fight, but always fight where you were confronted. I had a fight in a classroom and the cafeteria. We got paddled and headed back to class. this was in the early 80's. Things have certainly changed. BTW, not saying thats right or wrong.
