KFDM COOP Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 I'm hearing good things about the LCM JV, good size, speed etc..
Bear70 Posted September 11, 2006 Author Report Posted September 11, 2006 they do a really good job gang tackling
WOS95 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 they did have some pretty good athletes for the bear jv. there was a real tall receiver for the bears number 89 or 88, he made a couple of impressive catches. the running back had some good speed and made a few long runs against us. i also noticed they had some good size guys.
LcmBear40 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 They have good group of boys down there. Theyl give you a fight thats for sure
Bear70 Posted September 11, 2006 Author Report Posted September 11, 2006 but ill hand it to wos they play hard and dont back down
WOS95 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 they do a really good job gang tackling i said that to the person i was with at that game. they also did a good job of wrapping up on open field tackles.
LcmBear40 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 i expect good things from the class of 09
KFDM COOP Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Don't remember exactly but it was fairly close.
Lucky Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 They are a good bunch of kids ! Its a shame they don't practice with the varsity. Would only make em tougher next year !
bronco1 Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 ...Its a shame they don't practice with the varsity. Would only make em tougher next year ! They don't practice with the varsity, :? Why not?
Lucky Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 I don't know why, but its ridiculous. LCM hired this young guy I think he coached at Temple and this is the way they did it. Get this..... The varsity does not practice in full pads.....ever ! They worked out in full pads the first day they were allowed, and then again the next day for a scrimmage that lasted about an hour and a half. Since then its been shorts and shoulder pads only.
77 Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 wrong, they were in full pads today. Alot of days they where shorts but they have thier girdle and pads under the shorts.
Gasilla Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 wrong' date=' they were in full pads today. Alot of days they where shorts but they have thier girdle and pads under the shorts.[/quote'] They wear their pads under the shorts? That seems like it would be mighty gay looking... :?
77 Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 girdle is just like short football pants with pads the shorts on the outside save wear and tear on the girdle.(alot of colleges use these girdles)
Lucky Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 Yep, your right ! First day in full pads since mid August. That makes three days of practice in full pads this season. I'm so glad he changed his mind. LCM has good kids, they just don't work them hard enough. I know this because I have one that plays varsity. As far as the girdle pads go..... Thats the way you get somebody hurt, going half speed or half cocked. You either play touch or tackle. If its tackle then you buckle up with full pads and go hard !
Gasilla Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 From what I understand, the Bear JV has 17 Juniors. That's quite a lot for a 4A program. Good turn out.

77 Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 I dont believe the bears have any juniors on jv.
bronco1 Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 Thank goodness, I was getting a little worried.
bearhoops Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 There is about 4 juniors at the most on JV
