LC-M CISD cancels field trips outside OC

After consultation with health officials and other southeast Texas school districts, Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD has cancelled all student field trips and student travel outside of Orange County until May 11.

Staff members will make their own decisions regarding attendance at workshops and conferences. This is in response to the swine flu outbreak.

PN-G has cancelled all out-of-district field trips through May 11 as well. All extra-curricular practices are being evaluated on a daily basis.

2/3rd of the schools in Region 5 have done the same, including the one I am associated with....Better safe than sorry.

I am not going to be shocked if all in Region 5 have canceled all field trips.
