Guest baseball25 Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 But MAYWEATHER IS THAT GOOD......Hopefully PACMAN wins and MAYWEATHER and sets up prob the biggest fight in the last DECADE As first reported by Fightnews.com on April 24th, a press conference will be called before tonight’s Pacquiao-Hatton PPV clash to announce the highly expected return from retirement of Floyd Mayweather Jr. WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez has been mentioned as a likely opponent for Floyd, possibly on July 18th. In any event, a presser to make a “major boxing announcement†was officially announced late Friday. PFP RANKINGS YAHOO 2. Juan Manuel Marquez Points: 273 Record: 50-4-1 (36 KOs) Title: WBA, WBO, Ring lightweight champion Last outing: TKO9 over Juan Diaz on Feb. 28 Previous ranking: 2 Up next: Discussing a bout to lure Floyd Mayweather Jr. out of retirement Analysis: Arguably the smartest fighter in the sport 2 PFP Ranking Juan Manuel Marquez ESPN Lightweight champion Age: 35 | Record: 50-4-1, 37 KOs Hits: Coming off a spectacular ninth-round knockout of former titlist Juan Diaz on Feb. 28, Marquez made an interesting suggestion when he called out Floyd Mayweather, whose unretirement is imminent. Although Marquez would be the clear underdog, it's an interesting fight that would probably generate considerable business
JoshD Posted May 3, 2009 Report Posted May 3, 2009 this is not a gimme fight for mayweather marquez has skills and can fight!! just ask juan diaz, mayweather has been inactive.... stranger things have happened in boxing!!!! It only makes sense for the winner to fight pac... I like marquez better than mayweather but I really want to see mayweather vs pac rather than another fight with marquez.
Guest baseball25 Posted May 3, 2009 Report Posted May 3, 2009 I'm with you I don't want to see MArquez vs pacman again we seen it 2 times already......Let Pac face mosely in septh and then fight mayweather in DECEMBER.
