As first reported by Fightnews.com on April 24th, a press conference will be called before tonight’s Pacquiao-Hatton PPV clash to announce the highly expected return from retirement of Floyd Mayweather Jr. WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez has been mentioned as a likely opponent for Floyd, possibly on July 18th. In any event, a presser to make a “major boxing announcement†was officially announced late Friday.

marquez has skills and can fight!! just ask juan diaz, mayweather has been inactive.... stranger things have happened in boxing!!!!

It only makes sense for the winner to fight pac... I like marquez better than mayweather but I really want to see mayweather vs pac rather than another fight with marquez.
