Guest coachacola Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 If all goes according to plan, Lamar University could be in the unique situation of having three players in graduate school playing on its basketball team next season. Cardinal coach Steve Roccaforte says Ashton Hall, Lawrence Nwevo and Justin Nabors, all of whom have one year of eligibility remaining, are on track to graduate no later than August. All three figure to play significant roles . . . Roccaforte, by the way, was at the Rose Garden in Portland to root the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night. It was a combination business and family trip to the LU coach. He was able to mix in a visit with his sister Lela, who lives in Portland, and a trip to Nike headquarters in nearby Beaverton, Ore., to work out a deal on new uniforms for his team next season. http://www.panews.com/sportsbobwest/local_story_122205851.html?keyword=topstory
