This has been a great two weeks for Jeremy Johnson and Tiger football. Today, Michigan, West Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, and Iowa State were all at the High School at the same time. Yesterday, Akansas and Iowa State became the 16th & 17th schools to offer Jeremy. Miami and Akansas were at the school Monday. Two weeks ago it was Oklahoma and UT there. Jeremy is getting well deserved attention and he is really enjoying this recruiting process.

Frontrunners are West Virginia, Michigan, and Baylor. All want him at QB.

He is good but he would be the backup at QB at Baylor until his senior year behind Sophomore sensation Robert Griffin!!!!!

Does Johnson play hoops???

Actually, with Griffin going to be a Junior next season and Jeremy just being a high school senior, he wouldn't have to wait but one year. If Jeremy goes to Baylor, he will be a freshman when Griffin is a senior, if Griffin stays for his senior year.

Jeremy is an excellant basketball player. I really wish he would comeback to play hoops this coming season. He would help tremendously.

If those perennial powers are offering I can't see a logical reason to want to go to a perennial cellar dweller in Baylor.  I understand the coach recruited his brother but still.  If he wants the media spotlight and a qb position I'd think Michigan is the answer if they stick with Rodriguez as coach.

I can see Johnson excelling at any of those three schools.  All three head coaches play offensive styles that would allow him to improvise, use his legs, AND throw.  I always hope to see Texas guys go to Texas schools, so my hope is he picks Baylor.

Well Michigan want be getting as nearly much spotlight with a 3-9 record last year. The only kind of spotlight they will be getting in the preseason will be how much they failed to fulfill expecations.

Agreed that Michigan had their "Hundred Year Bad Season" last year but you don't expect them to stay down, do you?

Doesn't matter if Michigan was down last season or not......the Big 10 is always on tv and always overated by the eastern media.  It is great he has the options.

Jeremy just won the long jump at regionals. Had a leap of '23 "10. His jump was a foot longer than what he did at district. His regional championship jump was over a foot better than the runner up.

Jeremy will now go to state as the favorite.

Trey is going as the 100 meter regional champ and also on the regional champion 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams. He has a great shot at 3 golds.

As for his field events, he placed third in the long jump and failed to mark in the triple.

As a naitive West Virginian I'd like to see him go to WVU. He could compete for playing time his freshman year. Jarrett Brown, Pat White's replacement, will be a senior so he would compete for playing time with Eugene Smith, a Fressman this year. He'll have a shot a BCS game every year there. If he wants to play b-ball, I'm sure he wouldn't mind playing for Bob Huggins. From my source around the SE Texas, right now the Mountaieers are the front runners.

That is correct. West Virginia is the front runner.
