19 - 4A All District Picks

Have the all district picks been announced?

I can't wait to see this list. I've heard of some of the selections and of some of the kids that were left off that were very surprising. I've heard that our District MVP came from the 4th place team. That seems a little unusual? ??? ???

The list is very strange in that the MVP's (District, offensive and defensive) are not elected as "1st Team" in their respective positions. If you are the District MVP, would you not be First Team All-District OF, for example. Maybe I just never paid too much attention to how All-District selections worked in the past.

Weird, wild stuff!

Well you can only be selected in 1 position such as MVP but not 1st team 1st baseman. It is just how the system works. If someone is MVP offensively, defensively or district they would have been 1st team at their respective position just don't work that way though.

MVP's are a higher honor thand 1st team all district. Just as 1st team all district is higher than second team. No reason to give someone an MVP and a first team all district.

No new news there. With that said, how do district co-MVPS come from the 3rd and 4th place teams.....I can't speak for Kingwood Park ( didn't follow them that closely ) but BH pitcher and left-fielder certainly should've been considered. Makes no sense to me.....but what do I know.  ;)
