HoopInsider_Cooper Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Zach Quinn is resigning his post as boys head basketball caoch at Class 3A WO-S and will take over at Vidor, his alma mater. Quinn has been apart of the Mustang basketball program for the last six seasons. Quinn was an assistant under Douglas McCarter for the first four seasons. In 2006, the Mustangs finished a school best 24-9 losing in the 3A state semifinals to Carrollton Ranchview. In 2007, McCarter left for 5A Katy Taylor, which gave Quinn his first chance as a head coach. In two seasons, Quinn guided the Mustangs to an overall record of 32-32 (.500) with one playoff appearance. The 'Stangs finished 22-12 this season and finished 3rd in 21-3A losing in the bi-district round to Coldspring. Quinn, who graduated from Vidor in 1997, will take over in Vidor for Lance Roberston, who resigned.
