AJ25 Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 which is why it is the perfect time to trade him... a contender (redsox) would love to have him for the stretch run. and then he can sign a free agent contract with someone next season. since this is his contract year. it is the perfect time to get ride of tejada. oswalt - they try to get ride of him every year.. this year hopefully will be the year. lee, who knows what will happen.
Ruckdad Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 If history repeats its self, the Astros have never done well with big name pitcher trades and pitching seams to be their weekest area. As a matter of fact, I can't recall them coming out on top of any trade, could be mistaken. I think Tejada is playing great in the field and at the plate, better than he has in a long time. JMO Carlos may be good trade. Randy Johnson went 11-1 for the Astros after he came in a trade Jeff Bagwell for Larry Andersen worked out pretty well Valverde for Burke is working out pretty well And the way things are going for Lidge, the Bourne deal looks okay as well But they have had more than their share of bad trades. But Carlos won't be traded - he will block any trade.
