bobcatfan Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 I came across this on Rob Neyer's blog and thought it was pretty interesting and wanted to see what yall thought about it. The preliminary all decade team of the 2000's has been picked by someone and Rob Neyer was critiqing it. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up Heres the article he got the info from: This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up If you dont want to click on the links and read, here is the all decade team that was selected. 1B: Albert Pujols 2B: Jeff Kent SS: Derek Jeter 3B: Alex Rodriguez LF: Barry Bonds CF: Carlos Beltran RF: Vladimir Guerrero SP: Randy Johnson SP: Pedro Martinez SP: Johan Santana SP: Roy Oswalt SP: Mike Mussina/Curt Schilling RP: Mariano Rivera RP: Trevor Hoffman RP: Eric Gagne Glad to see Roy O getting his due on the all decade team, well deserving of him. Remember when you look at these, this is a body of work for the decade. But would you make any changes if you could take someone off the list and put someone else on there? I'll leave this open for debate.

bobcatfan Posted June 2, 2009 Author Report Posted June 2, 2009 i would change kent for biggio. biggio was more consistent.. As much as i would like to put biggio in for kent, you really cant justify it. Look at Biggio and Kents stats from 2000 on and Kent is definitely superior. Biggio's peak years were in the mid to late 90's and you can see a dropoff in his numbers after 2000, when Biggio was on the downside of his career.
