Hey dme1111, I have never fished the mirrodine lure, how do work the retrieve?

we were catching them yesterday with a slow approach. Reel, twitch it a couple of times, let it sit for 5-10 seconds then repeat.  Some times they bite it with a reel, twitch, reel, twitch without letting it sit

My brother went out to the LA jetties again today and caught 25 fish up to 23".

I went out this afternoon, and there was some serious swind blowing right down the channel.  Fished Lighthouse Cove, but water was muddy.  I didn't dare run to the jetties in that chop.

my brother went out again last evening and limited out again.  It is rough but when you get on the LA side of the jetties its not that bad.  We have a 21' boat and do fine.  Another note is that the guys fishing with live shrimp were absolutely catching fish every cast...

A friend at work is a guide on the weekends and has been knocking them dead on Flounder Pounder CT Shad. I think he has been using glow and glow with chartreuse tails.

this morning I went out and didn't catch but 5 good trout.  I thinkt the tide needs to be moving out... it was moving in this morning

Saturday evening, a couple of friends of mine killed them at the jetties.  They used live shrimp, mostly, but caught a few on traps.    I saw the pics and they had some really big specks in the cooler.

went out to the jetties again tonight, I think the secret is the tide moving out.  We caught 50-70 speck up to 25"

Actually, My wife and I went to the jetties this morn (Thu) and left at 1pm.  We caught 2 really nice reds, 2 spanish,1 triple tail (a bit too small), 2 drum and kept 19 sizeable trout.  I didn't want to stay out in that heat any longer for 1 more trout.  Had a box FULL of fish.  All on shrimp.  The artificial guys just weren't catching, that I can tell.

I think Sat. I'll be going offshore.  It's time to go diving!

Chartreuse mirrodine mirrolures... We have been KILLING THEM at the jetties daily on this bait...

I've never seen a Mirrordine lure.  Is it like a Mirrorlure?

it is made by mirrolure. It is a lipless shallow running suspended bait.  I was told last month about them by a local guide and we tried them and have been using them since.

The first specks that I ever caught about 35 years ago was on a Mirrolure. I have been using various colors ever since.

fished the La. jetties this evening with not much luck. Caught 3 keeper trout, fished mirrodine, glo-chart. assasins, and live shrimp.

I went this afternoon (Sat).  Water was ugly, wind was howling, waves were crashing...really tuff fishing.  Only caught 28 trout........

Not really.  I only caught about 6 and kept 3.
