Powell pitched a double header against Liberty one game left then the next game right. I know he went to Florida and was going to walk on, but not sure how it came out.

Didnt Steve Martin play his senior year at BC. I think he was drafted by the astros.

Thought he had some kind of tryout with them. If anyone can confirm if he played college ball I would love to add him. I know he did some coaching in Evadale.

Thanks Swampdude. I knew Coach would have that somewhere. Do you happen to know Coach Young's first year in BC? and he was the first right?

I think it was either '67 or '68.  Coach Young was not the first baseball coach.  There were a few earlier including Larry Ward.

Joe VanBreeman was our first Coach in baseball starting in season 1958.  I played two years for him and led the county in hitting %s my Senior year.

Coach Miller played some college ball, didn't he?

Coach Charles Miller (BC class of '67), played for Panola when they won the JUCO World Series.  Then he played 2 years at Trinity University in San Antonio. 

His high school teammate, Johnny Miller ('67), also played for Panola.

Thank You, so we have a father-son combo.  8) I sure did hate when Coach Miller hung them up. It was truely a huge loss when we lost Coach Young and Miller in the same year. Really enjoyed playing for both of those great men.
