EAGLE07 Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 I dont know man LSU has a pretty deep pitching staff True...Should be a great series. I'm in the Houston area...gotta pull for the Owls in this one. My son played w/ and is good friends w/ Rendon, the Owl 3rd baseman. I'm also good friends w/ Diego Seastrunk and his family. So I have to root for the Owls.... however a LSU/Texas matchup would be interesting to say the least. Owls in 3.

Guest JoesBros Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 I think LSU is 0-6 against them in regional play but the Tigers have their number in CWS matchups
Guest etbu Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 Saw them regionals here last week and Rice has some issues on the mound. They are very young and LSU will beat hem who knows? Anyone going?
Guest JoesBros Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 LSU leads the all-time series with Rice, 12-11, as the squads first met in 1914. LSU, however, is only 2-6 against Rice in NCAA Tournament competition. The Tigers defeated the Owls in College World Series games in 1997 and 2008, but Rice is 6-0 against LSU in NCAA Regional/Super Regional games. Rice eliminated LSU in the 1995 and 2005 NCAA Regionals in Baton Rouge, defeating the Tigers twice each time. The Owls also won two straight games over the Tigers at the 2002 NCAA Super Regional in Houston. lsusports.net

EAGLE07 Posted June 5, 2009 Report Posted June 5, 2009 Saw them regionals here last week and Rice has some issues on the mound. They are very young and LSU will beat hem who knows? Anyone going? They ceratinly didn't have any mound issues during regional play. All of their top 4 were lights out, including Wall's 3 hitter.

Berry is struggling and pitcher by committee.
