Two former LU golfers qualify to play in next weeks US Open

Chris Stroud and Shawn Stefani both got through the sectional qualifying for the US Open and will play in next weeks US Open at famed Bethpage black.  Congrats to two of my former teamates and two of the greats to ever play at LU!

Chris Stroud and Shawn Stefani both got through the sectional qualifying for the US Open and will play in next weeks US Open at famed Bethpage black.  Congrats to two of my former teamates and two of the greats to ever play at LU!

Congrats to these two fine golfers. Good luck in the "second best" tournament that weekend. ;D

On the flip side, 2 former Lamar golfers with a possible 3rd former Card will be playing in the 42nd Annual Silsbee MGA Invitational that week. Former All-American and 2 time defending champ Dawie Van der Walt along with former teammate Dusty Smith will be teeing it up at Silsbee CC starting on June 18th. Also, Casey Clendenon, another former teammate of their's could quite possibly be playing also.
