Dugat of Dayton will be a spectator at Saturday night’s Nike Bayou Bowl. The all-state wide receiver was ruled out of the Texas-Louisiana high school all-star game at Stallworth Stadium after struggling early in the week with the effects of dehydration and anemia, his high school coach, Jerry Stewart, said Thursday. Dugat, who signed with the University of Houston, first suffered dehydration during an early-morning workout at UH Monday, Stewart said. Tuesday, after arriving in Baytown for the Bayou Bowl, it was discovered he was suffering from anemia and he was held out of practices. Dugat said then he hoped he could recover in time to play Saturday. “But he went back to the hospital (Wednesday) night,†Stewart said. “The doctors suggested he not play.†
