Guest pirate fan 3 Posted July 2, 2009 Report Posted July 2, 2009 deweyville is going to have a good team
TopDawG52 Posted July 2, 2009 Report Posted July 2, 2009 kountze has some players moving back that were orginally from ktz. i know one of them will be the post player and avg 20 ppg in Houston Last year.
Ladybucs2012 Posted July 15, 2009 Author Report Posted July 15, 2009 I say, Deweyville will win it. I believe in their coach. woe? are you serious umm no disrespect but like deweyville is not good at all last year on a bad day for ec..ec won anyway..and now all the upcomming sophomores at dewey are prolly going to make up the varsity squad as well as last years juniors..its okay to believe in the coach BUT when it comes down to it the team has to pull through..

WhatDownIzIt Posted July 17, 2009 Report Posted July 17, 2009 Well D'ville's PG is returning and a couple of sophomores will contribute heavily. You will see 2 starters on the floor that did not play and one that was the PG on JV. They will surprise alot of teams. I actually expect Buna to be in the mix as well. Although I am not a big fan Buna's coach started a bunch of freshman last year and that will help them out so much this year. Warren actually will be ok as well, the Burns girl can run the floor with any of them. Good Luck to all the teams.

HOSSFAN Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 I think Deweyville will come out this year and surprise a lot of people. They will have a point guard that will be hard to stop...there will also be several new additions that will help the Lady's out tremendously on the board! Don't underestimate them just yet...it will be a totally different team! Come see!!
snooker Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 EC Hardin Anahuac ... its EC 12-0 .... rest might be debatable.

I'm not sure what the rest of the district has, but Deweyville will surprise a LOT of people this year. I had the chance to see them a couple of times a few months ago in a summer league and they are much improved. D'ville played way more aggressively than they have in the past and I'm assuming the new coach has instilled that. The guards were pretty good, but the most impressive play came from a big post player that I understand is young. (Sophomore, I think) Sorry, I have no name...I'm sure someone from D'ville can reply with this young ladies name. The only thing I didn't see is if this team can run. They played defense almost exclusively in a 2-3 which is almost unheard of in summer league ball. Good luck to Deweyville.
HOSSFAN Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Thanks Slam14....I am proud to say that sophmore's name is Marley Moss! She eats, breathes, and sleeps this game!! Can't keep a decent net at the house!

HOSSFAN Posted September 18, 2009 Report Posted September 18, 2009 Not sure who the new coach is, but I think Buna had a good team last year and will have a good one this year too if this new coach will not allow them to play dirty ball. Buna could have gone much farther IMO if they would have not let their tempers get the best of them. The coach can control that. Good luck this year! Can't wait for the season to begin! ;D

HOSSFAN Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 She is a classy lady and was a great ball player! I know she will do a great job!!
theboss4 Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 i think Deweyville will have a great team this year.
DHS supporter Posted September 21, 2009 Report Posted September 21, 2009 the returning PG will have to learn team ball after seeing some of the summer leauge games, if Deweyville can do this they will be fine.
HOSSFAN Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 That will have to come from the coach....they have several this year that can contribute to the board and that is what they need in order to compete! I'm telling you this will be a different, more competitive group of girls!
