Anyone know if MT is a home-and-home? January games against Tulane and Ark St at home are great gets and would be nice wins for the SLC.

This is a solid schedule. The typical four non-Div Is that we have expected under the current rules of the conference, but those aside - everything else looks good.

Nice schedule.  4 Sunbelt teams (Middle Tennessee, Denver, Louisiana-Lafayette, Arkansas State), 3 CUSA teams (Marshall, Rice, Tulane), plus a MAC, WAC and Big 12 team.

Home games against Rice, Tulane, Arky State isn't too bad.  No perennial powerhouses but a lot of good mid-majors that Lamar should be able to compete against.

I like the February schedule with 3 of the last 6 games at home against Sammy State, UTSA and A&M-CC, those games should be well attended if the team is playing well.

Interesting that we open on a friday night... not sure about that one especially against a non D 1. But still, good looking schedule. Look's like Roc is done scheduling the big boys.

I like the schedule.  It is nice for recruiting to play the likes of Memphis, Kentucky and Louisville but it really does nothing for the record or the confidence of the team.  Playing teams like Rice, UL-L, Tulane, Denver, Middle Tennessee will get you better prepared for conference in my opinion.

So will MTSU, Hawaii, Ohio, and Marshall return to the Montagne in 2010? That'd be impressive.

I'm really pumped up as well. But I see it's going to be a long season with you guys again. Hoefully we will be able to agree on a *few* things this season and the direction the team is taking. I see again you all have high hopes for the team. I'l try and see a practice one day and see whats over there, and try and save my comments for now.

I think all the practices are private...

Hopefully some practices will be open to the public.  It would be nice if Bluedove and others could give us some info on how this team is shaping up.

Yea hopefully they will have a practice open to the public so people could go and see how the team looks, and get some idea of what to expect for the upcoming season.

For the record I had this team pegged at 15-17 and 5-11 for the season. Not sure that 5-11 will get us in the conference tournament?

And I still stand by the 5-11 number.
