That is amazing and one of the coolest things I have heard.  That is love for a school and its tradition.

Steve was a member of our class of 1983.  He was a wonderful young man and it's an amazing way for his memory to live on.  I made the comment yesterday about one of the neat aspects of this gift is that many of the first players to benefit from the donation will be the children of Steve's classmates.

wood lockers arent good for high school. because of stealing. or other kids switching equipment. i know when i was in school i couldnt even leave my shoulder pads out to dry without a scout team kid switching pads

We've had open lockers at PN-G for baseball when I played. No problems at all if anything was missing you close the door of the lockerroom and the team "works" it out.
