2009 National Fencing Championships in Grapevine, TX

The 2009 National Fencing Championships are being held July 3-12 in Grapevine, TX at the Gaylord Hotel. This area covered by the SETEXsports Forum sits within the North Texas Division and the Gulf Coast Division of the United States Fencing Association (the 31st parallel of lattitude is the divider!).

As the USFA makes results available (roughly 24-36 hours after an event, to ensure accuracy), I will try to post and update the results here:

While neither is from Texas, I thought this was a pretty good piece of video. This is the gold medal bout in the Youth 14 (& under) Men's Foil competition...

Points only made with the tip. Only the torso is valid target. There are rules of right of way to determine who gets the point when both land touches...
