skipper Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 not to shabby for just a plain old country hick town. :o
badndn Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 And most of the teams above WOS fall into one of two categories: 1. Private Schools that recruit. 2. 1A or 2A type schools. Very impressive for Coach Hooks and his staffs over the years. They did this while playing some stiff competition as well.
AggiesAreWe Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 You got to be impressed with John Curtis, Louisiana, regardless of if they are a private or small school. A 90% winning percentage over 500 games is just awesome.
TradinUp BH Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 No California or Florida teams? Thats strange.
AggiesAreWe Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 No California or Florida teams? Thats strange. DeLaSalle, Ca. is #3 on the list.
skipper Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 the GOLDEN T should be proud of west orange stark. there football program and coaches over the years are top notched and no one can take that away from you guys ther in west orange, numbers speak for themself. i love to talk about texas teams let the other states talk about there teams dont you think
w Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 There are only a couple of schools on there who have played fewer games than WOS.
TradinUp BH Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 No California or Florida teams? Thats strange. DeLaSalle, Ca. is #3 on the list. Didn't see that one ;D Thank you
griff Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 A couple of items from that list that caught my eye... #12 Valdosta, Ga. I saw a report on that school several years ago on ESPN when they ran the Scholastic Sports America show (Do they still carry it?). Valdosta's football program is run much like a military academy. They run a summer camp program (off campus) for kids who want to "try out" for the football team. Many people across the country consider this the top football program in the country. #25 Weir, MS. This was Roy Oswalt's high school. The school is so small that it wouldn't surprise me if little Roy-O played on the offensive line.
sahen Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 oswalt was a defensive back and wide receiver in high school
baseballjunkie Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 how about 48 going 0-10 this year coaching move there?
speveto Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 can someone please tell me where silsbee finished. i know they are close to the top because they are very good at playing football.
WOS87 Posted July 8, 2009 Author Report Posted July 8, 2009 If you check out the link at the top of the original thread the list only includes programs with >64.5% winning percentages.
