tvc184 Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 Watch out for Tevvan Jones. Will be a junior. Fast and very strong ...and that makes whose offense the best?
dme1111 Posted July 12, 2009 Report Posted July 12, 2009 Tight race between Big Ned and Vidor I am not trying to be smart but what makes people think vidors offense is going to be anything special? I was not real impressed last year by the wing t.
lubbockdawg Posted July 13, 2009 Report Posted July 13, 2009 medic Bru, that would be medics in the plural form...one wasn't enough on that night. That was some devastating hits when we can remember them years later. heck i can remember the last time we played central and nederland they didnt score. Also i can remember that dayton only ran the qb sneak from the middle of the third quarter to the end of the game. It sure is good to be able to go back in the past. Who cares about the scores. The only hit I would compare Pilitere's two would be A&M's Coryatt. You remember hits...scores...eh.
PirateFootball-2010 Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 Tight race between Big Ned and Vidor I am not trying to be smart but what makes people think vidor's offense is going to be anything special? I was not real impressed last year by the wing t. bc they had a little success last year moving the ball.yea they came back a lot in the 2nd half last year but i think they will pick it up in the 1st and keep it going the whole game. no they don't throw the ball a lot but u don't have to when u have a decent size o-line that is really scrappy and knows what the deffens is gunna do when they run a play bc they have played at the varsity level for 2 years now. vidor's o-line will do great things for their running backs this year. i think it will be vidor or nederland that has the best offense
lubbockdawg Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 I'm from out of town...is Vidor still running that bone-wing-t?
lubbockdawg Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 So I guess they still put the guy in the slot in motion to the side they will run the football? thats how everyone knows what play they were running in the day. Counter, trap and sweeps.
Pirate Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 So I guess they still put the guy in the slot in motion to the side they will run the football? thats how everyone knows what play they were running in the day. Counter, trap and sweeps. lubbockdawg - They used to run the flex-bone (triple option). Slot-t is a totally different offense.
lubbockdawg Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 thanks Pirate, Flexbone...I remember the terminology now. It's been a while since all those scouting reports. Obannion and croak are the only two I remember on that team. Fun to play against.
dme1111 Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 I think the offenses in 20-4a end up like this... but really who knows... 1.Nederland 2.Lumberton 3.PNG 4.Central 5.Vidor 6.Livingston 7.Ozen 8.Poor LCM
skipper Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 you might watch out for lc-m.coach crouch has alot to work with this year and he will be calling the plays.lc-m lost some close games at the last of the season and i got a feeling that will change this year
skipper Posted July 20, 2009 Report Posted July 20, 2009 only the ones crouch allows him to call i think lol
Roughrider Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 Nederland will not have a problem moving the ball or putting points on the board this year............... Big question is the D.....If Nederland can get their crap together on defense and come out bustin heads then they will walk away with this district....Hands Down...... :-*
dawgnut Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 Don't know how much change you will see on the defense this year but I do think you will see some change.
dme1111 Posted July 21, 2009 Report Posted July 21, 2009 IF Nederlands D is bad again this year I have to think its time for a new D coordinator...
dawgnut Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 One thing is for sure, the clock is ticking and it will not be long before we will see. Vacation is over, so it's time for some football!
pngfan1 Posted July 22, 2009 Report Posted July 22, 2009 One thing is for sure, the clock is ticking and it will not be long before we will see. Vacation is over, so it's time for some football! Yes it is. Won't have to wait much longer.
bigtank_77705 Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 in this order: Nederland -Great excution Ozen - New Look and way of doing things Lumberton - Will run the ball well Vidor/Central toss up between these two PNG - Maybe overrated LCM - Sorry Livingston - Dream run is over
