Although there are future Lamar football schedules circulating that show the Cardinals opening the 2012 season at Texas A&M, head coach Ray Woodard says no contract to play the Aggies has been signed. Discussions with A&M officials about such a game are ongoing, however. The biggest name school that Lamar has a contract with is Oklahoma State for 2013. It’s also likely the Cardinals will play TCU that year. Georgia State, which is on the same start-up schedule as Lamar, and will host Woodard’s team at the Georgia Dome in 2010, is jumping into the deep water quicker than LU. Georgia State is scheduled to face Alabama in its final game of 2010. Ouch
