How does pony work? I guess I dont understand some teams getting a bye to certain levels just by hosting?

If this is zone, what was last week and the week before?

Last week was sectionals, before that I think it was district. In PONY host get automatic bids just like Babe Ruth.

PNG causes the first upset of the tourney!!!  Beat Miami 7 to 2 with two home runs.  Way to go boys!

If you won games by the way infield before the game starts than we would have been run-ruled. Miami had a hell of a defense. We were very flat until Tate Allen hit a bomb. We definately caught this team overlooking us. There will be no more surprises. Lance Ledoux pitched a gem. He pitched a 1-hitter with 10 k's against a team that appeared to take very good swings but he had them very off-balanced.They got their only hit with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th. Lance also hit a HR. We play Texas City at 1:30 Saturday. This group is focused. PNG Tribe 7 Maimi 2!!

PNG loses first game of All -Star run. We showed up not ready to play and now we have a lot of work to do. I believe our guys got caught looking ahead to a matchup with Kyle Chapman, instead we have a rematch with Miami. We bounced back and beat Burleson 8-7 in extra innings. We had a 7-3 lead going into the bottom of the 7th. We lost 13-11 to Texas City who did not have one decent pitcher. We made 7 errors on defense, not very focused. Today is a new day and hopefully they can regain their focus on the goal. It could be another late night. Hopefully we will send Miami packing.

Port Neches was eliminated by Miami 12-2, the game was tied at 1 in the 4th that's all I know so far.

The ride is over but we enjoyed it. We ran out of healthy arms. Our first pitcher only lasted 1 inning before he left with a sore arm and our next pitcher lasted 3 innings. We had 2 other pitchers that were not available due to sore arms therefor we went to 2 different guys that have not been pitching. Sounds like an excuse but it is what it is. Miami was the better team. They are loaded pitchers and big hitter's. We surprised ourselves and everyone else when we beat them. I believe everyone tonite was rooting for us because they know that Miami is loaded. We will have to get at least one more big pitcher for next year to be able to compete to go to the World Series. We do have a few guys that are suppose to play next year instead of select. Miami by for had the best position player's of everyone there. You would have thought that Miami was a varsity baseball team by the way they looked and played. Oh well my son is already talking about playing fall ball. All I want is a break from baseball and softball for at least a couple of weeks and that is all that I will get because my daughter has a tournament in 2 weeks.
