We plan to make our coverage a memorable experience so that the kids, coaches and fans will remember it for a lifetime.â€

The daylong coverage of the Classic, which was organized and is managed by Intersport, Inc., will feature studio halftime and postgame shows. Segments will include 2009 District previews, a rundown of players to watch this season, and perspective and analysis from area coaches and high school football experts.

“Intersport is proud to team with Burger King, Fox Sports Net, and Kirk Herbstreit to once again bring you the best high school football in the Nation,†said Intersport, Inc. Event Manager Joseph Salituro. “We look forward to having the new Cowboys Stadium as our host. We are excited for the players, coaches, and fans to experience this once in a lifetime opportunity. Back for a third season on FOX Sports Southwest and FOX Sports Houston in 2009 is the Texas High School Game of the Week, which this year welcomes new sponsor Ford. The package will showcase six marquee matchups (to be announced later), in addition to The Kirk Herbstreit Varsity Football Series.

To comply with UIL rules prohibiting live televised games on Fridays, the Game of the Week presented by Ford will be played on either Thursdays or Saturdays.

Craig Way, host of FOX Sports Southwest’s HIGH SCHOOL SCOREBOARD LIVE Friday night wrapup show and the radio voice of the Texas Longhorns, will call play-by-play on the Game of the Week. He’ll be joined by former Texas high school and Texas A&M standout wide receiver Shea Walker, the 1981 District 22-5A Offensive MVP from Port Arthur Jefferson, who will serve as analyst.

The Game of the Week presented by Ford leads into FOX Sports Southwest’s and FOX Sports Houston’s live coverage of the UIL Class 5A Division I and Division II state championship games in December.
