MC continues roll, advances to championship

NEDERLAND — Mid-County did not show much promise in its opening round loss of the 17-18-year-old Babe Ruth Southwest Regional all-stars tournament. Since then, however, MC seems to only be getting stronger. The local team has won four straight, including back-to-back games Monday night at Nederland High School's Metreyon-Delahoussaye Park.

MC benefited from timely hits, executed bunts, good baserunning, solid fielding and two briliant pitching performances from Nederland's Nick Cardenas and Cody Laird
