Guest Lions Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 If you could pick any high school coach in Texas to coach your newly created team, who would it be?

7mary3 Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 NOT the one that got his butt beat by the popo...
SgtRey Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 Freddy Hernandez, took an inner city school in Houston and turned the program around to be contenders in 1993....from our class we had 3 D-1 scholarships for: QB -Ray Meche - UH, RB -Harry Fortson TCU, FS Ajani Sanders- UND. All received a solid education, he took the program beyond the field and classroom. You don't get that old school trash anymore......
Spanky Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 If you could pick any high school coach in Texas to coach your newly created team, who would it be? Larry Neumann
badndn Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 Randy Allen has won alot of games with Highland Park. It is hard to argue with the success of Dan Ray given the fact that he has won from 5A-3A with the same program.
Lionfan Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 There are many great ones out there but of course I gotta go with Randy Rowe. The turnaround he has put ogether here in Livingston is nothing short of a miracle.
Javelina Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 I would want Allen Weddell. Had a 103-13 record at La Marque from 1990-1997. Five straight state title game appearances from 93 to 97 winning the last three. The man is a defensive genius in my mind.
bmtdc1996 Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Andy Evans, great Christian man and has always been a great influence on the young men around him.
bh89-2 Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 I'll settle for Charlie Brown if we can finally get rid of BH's Price.
Bucof2010 Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 I didn't realize coach evans was so popular. I always liked him.
HDcats0422 Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 Here in H-D we didn't care for Evans too much! Always seemed to get the best of us, but he seemed like a great coach and good friend of Darryl barbay when they were district foes
