Guest #1raider Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 It's just the first practice they'll pick it up. By which I mean Lumberton. Coach C knows how to get it together.
KFDM COOP Posted August 3, 2009 Author Report Posted August 3, 2009 First-year Little Cypress-Mauriceville Battlin’ Bears’ coach Randy Crouch was directing traffic Monday as the 2009 football season started with two-a-days. The Bears along with rest of the teams in Southeast Texas are preparing for what should be another exciting season. See more photographs from Monday’s practices on Page 1B. Gasilla Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 These threads always crack me up... Does anyone ever NOT think that their team is bigger, faster, in better shape and set to make a run at the district or states title OR going to "surprise some people"? It's funny, but it's fun. It's always fun to anticipate and hope that this will be the year no matter what your aspirations are. Anyway, I went out and watched WOS for a little while yesterday after I left the gym. The things that stood out the most to me was that we do appear to have more size and the sheer numbers in the program are up compared to normal. That's really all I saw that isn't status quo. I think the kids come in in fairly good shape most years because they know what's coming, so that is no surprise. Other than that, you really don't know anything from a practice in shorts and helmets. Here's to hoping... ;D
KFDM COOP Posted August 6, 2009 Author Report Posted August 6, 2009 Time to put on the pads!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up
AggiesAreWe Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 In just a couple of hours, Evadale will be donning the pads. If I am still up, I might just have to make that 10 minute drive over to Rebel Stadium.
AggiesAreWe Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 Ah give em a Freebie If I am to do a broadcast of a practice at midnight, I am getting paid, plain and simple. That's going way above and beyond the call of duty. Of course, what and how much of a payment is negotiable. ;D
KFDM COOP Posted August 6, 2009 Author Report Posted August 6, 2009 Supposed to be plenty of food there i heard, even at Midnight.
AggiesAreWe Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 I think I am going to pass. I will be making two scrimmages next Saturday. The 10am Silsbee scrimmage and the 7pm WOS scrimmage. Tell your two buddies to come looking for me. ;D
KFDM COOP Posted August 6, 2009 Author Report Posted August 6, 2009 You doing any scrimmage updates (broadcast) just as a test run?
AggiesAreWe Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 You doing any scrimmage updates (broadcast) just as a test run? I doubt it. After doing about 70 broadcasts for this site, I think I have it down. ;D If Silsbee's scrimmage against LCM on the 21st was in Silsbee and it was a game type scrimmage, I might consider it. But it's in LCM and last year they only played about a quarter and a half of live game.
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 season has started here in Alaska. I'm seriously considering going to a game tomorrow. I've got the "itch" LOL
KFDM COOP Posted August 7, 2009 Author Report Posted August 7, 2009 Pads go on today (Friday) post your comments here..
AggiesAreWe Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 I got my first look at my Tigers today. I was impressed. I could make several comments here but I will just sum it up in saying this is the fastest Silsbee team I have seen in quite some time. This is by far the fastest defense that the Tigers have fielded in many years. They remind me of those WOS defenses that swarm to the ball and gang tackle. This should be a very fun year.
KFDM COOP Posted August 7, 2009 Author Report Posted August 7, 2009 Nothing but speed when they meet!
the sports guy Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Nothing but speed when they meet! Gonna be fun and fast.
KFDM COOP Posted August 7, 2009 Author Report Posted August 7, 2009 Yes it is. WO-S is faster than last year on Defense. Just got back from practice, the OL is bigger and is well coached by OL Coach Greg Bass from Marlin. Should be a fun year.
KFDM COOP Posted August 8, 2009 Author Report Posted August 8, 2009 Alot of intrasquad Scrimmages Today (Sat), post how your team looked etc..
