Huntington High pitcher, SFA committ, Carlie Thomas just pitched her Gold team, Texas Eclipse to a big win (first bracket game) at Gold Nationals in Oklahoma City.  She pitched a complete 7 inning shutout giving up 4 hits and striking out 7.

Gets a little tougher from here, they will have a day off tomorrow and most likely play past national champ, Worth Firecrackers Thursday.

Can't take that win away though.  Look for Bellaire graduate, Oklahoma State committ, Kat Espinosa to take the mound Thursday.

Kat is an awesome pitcher, I played with her in the all-star game. Good luck Eclipse in Nationals!

Kat started game, gave up a couple hits, Eclipse made a bad error behind her and the damage was a 4 run 1st inning for the Firecrackers.  Pitching has settled down, Carlie Thomas is in now and Eclipse has pulled to within 4-3 of the Firecrackers in the bottom of the 4th. 

This would be a major upset if Eclipse pulled it off
