Guest baseball25 Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Got penn in a easy win.....The great thing about the 155-pound division is how stacked it is. And I think Diego Sanchez is probably next in line for a title shot against B.J. It’s a great fight.†UFC President Dana White reaffirms his plan during the UFC 101 post-fight press conference to bring surging lightweight Diego Sanchez into a championship bout against current 155-pound kingpin BJ Penn later this year or perhaps early 2010. “Nightmare†earned his shot after dropping to lightweight and outpointing Joe Stevenson and Clay Guida, effectively vaulting himself to the top of the number one contender list — which may have also been helped by his 8-2 record in the welterweight division. He’ll have his toughest test to date against “The Prodigy,†who submitted Kenny Florian at UFC 101 on August 8 to solidify himself as the best lightweight in the UFC — and perhaps the world.
silentassasin Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 I honestly think Diego could win this fight, but man BJ looked really in the best shape physically he has been in a long time. Dude was more muscular than he ever was, not soft looking like usual. Sanchez is intense and I think will give him a run.
UT#1 Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 i think diego has the best chance to win against BJ out of anyone that bj has faced in the 155 division....dont think this one will go 5
silentassasin Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 I agree, either Diego knocks out Penn or gets a ref stoppage before 5 or Penn submits him before the 5th. Either way it won't go the distance.
silentassasin Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 While I agree to an extent, noone is unstoppable. Eventually someone will beat him. Why not the nightmare?
