liltex Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 9th @5:00-JV 6:00-Var 7:00 2 teams diff.classifications -both picked high DCTF.Always a good scrimmage.
Majestyk Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Both teams can only benefit from this one. Two quality, well coached programs going at it early. We expect possibly standing room only.
AggiesAreWe Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 Both teams can only benefit from this one. Two quality, well coached programs going at it early. We expect possibly standing room only. You have got to be kidding. As big a stadium as D.R. Hooks Stadium is, it will not be standing room only for just a SCRIMMAGE. I have been to a few REAL games there at WOS in the last few years(not just when Silsbee played there) and I haven't seen a standing room only crowd there yet. It will be a nice scrimmage with a nice crowd, one that I will be attending, but not standing room only.
AggiesAreWe Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 BTW, other than Silsbee's own scrimmage that will take place earlier that day, this is the only scrimmage that I would even consider attending that day. Two very good, high quality teams to go watch practice against each other.
KFDM COOP Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 They usually play a 4 Quarter game type Scrimmage...
AggiesAreWe Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 They usually play a 4 Quarter game type Scrimmage... Maybe I should broadcast it then. :
KFDM COOP Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 You should. They'll play a 4 Quarter Scrimmage type game.
AggiesAreWe Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 You should. They'll play a 4 Quarter Scrimmage type game. You know there are a lot of things I should do, but broadcasting a practice game is not one of them. Maybe if the price is right. ;D
Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 You should. They'll play a 4 Quarter Scrimmage type game. You know there are a lot of things I should do, but broadcasting a practice game is not one of them. Maybe if the price is right. ;D Coop got the funds
AggiesAreWe Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 do it! 8) Scooter, for you I might would consider doing some LIVE updates. ;D

Mr. Buddy Garrity Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 do it! 8) Scooter, for you I might would consider doing some LIVE updates. ;D we know that this is not our average scrimmage
AggiesAreWe Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 aggie, you and gary will make a good pair I like and really respect Gary. But I doubt very seriously that Gary would broadcast a scrimmage game no matter how you spin it into a "real" type game.
liltex Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 How often do you get a glimpse of the future of your school w/2 successful yearly programs that have had good success in the second season(playoff's)You get to see the pipeline of talent of the future.Enjoy 2 great head coaches while we have them.
griff Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 aggie, you and gary will make a good pair I like and really respect Gary. But I doubt very seriously that Gary would broadcast a scrimmage game no matter how you spin it into a "real" type game. Actually, Gary did broadcast a scrimmage once. It was one with game conditions against Ozen several years ago.

bronco1 Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Anybody got predictions on how this "Scrimmage" 4 quarters of football will go? I know its doesn't count : but who is gonna leave Hooks Stadium feeling better about the year ahead?
KFDM COOP Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Hard to say in a Scrimmage. You won't see everything from the teams as for as plays go.
LTrain Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 I expect it will be a close one, not gonna predict a winner, both really good teams
adminbaberuth Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Anybody got predictions on how this "Scrimmage" 4 quarters of football will go? I know its doesn't count : but who is gonna leave Hooks Stadium feeling better about the year ahead? i would think wos is in a no lose situation. on paper this will be their toughest test till third round, besides silsbee in district play. if dayton outscores them by 3 touchdowns, then dayton will leave knowing they have a pretty good club.
AggiesAreWe Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 I expect it will be a close one, not gonna predict a winner, both really good teams I am not going to predict a winner either for the simple fact that NOBODY WINS SCRIMMAGES!!!!
Majestyk Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 Just kidding about the standing room only, trying to get some takers. Sometimes you have to have your own line of BS to survive on this board.
raideroldtimer Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 They usually play a 4 Quarter game type Scrimmage... Maybe I should broadcast it then. : Aggie, broadcast it, this could be your "scrimmage game" for your broadcast season.
