Guest rykerx144 Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 I hate I missed the scrimmage. I relize no one wins scrimmages but I understand from talking with both sides that Kirbyville did very well against Silsbee. I understand that Silsbee predicted to have a good team this year. The question i have is this, If this is true that Kirbyville did do well against them was it more Kirbyville doing that well or just Silsbee not doing very well?
Guest rykerx144 Posted August 18, 2009 Report Posted August 18, 2009 and there is not many people's opinion I trust on here but I do trust Aggies..
AggiesAreWe Posted August 18, 2009 Author Report Posted August 18, 2009 Kirbyville's defense looked very good, particularly since they had so many starters from last year graduate. Their offense will be good with Ford and Rhodes in the backfield. QB still needs some seasoning. Silsbee did not look bad, but they are still needing some work on the offensive line. With the skill players that Silsbee has, their offense will be exciting. Silsbee's defense IMO played very well except for 2 plays. Kirbyville's Ford ran a 65 yarder for a TD on their very first play, but after that, the Tigers played very well, only giving up around 50 yards of offense the next 22 plays up until the last play of the scrimmage. That's when Kirbyville threw the "hail mary" type pass on the last play and scored. It was a 45 yard pass play. I look for both these teams to play very well in the next scrimmage for each team.
