hj_hawk_60 Posted August 20, 2009 Report Posted August 20, 2009 it was a combined Varsity/JV game.. went 15offense/15defense each for varsity then 15offense/15 defense each for JV then 2 game situation 12 minute quarters.. HJ's varsity offense went out and scored on the first play Hardin didn't seem to be ready at first but they picked up and i agree it was a fairly close scrimmage.. i felt like HJ somewhat had the edge most the time.. Hardin capitalized on some key HJ mistakes.. scoring on 2 drives after INT as far as turnovers went i think it was fairly even.. like 2-1 or 2-2.. HJ had 2 INT and hardin had 1 or 2 fumbles i believe
bushpilot Posted August 21, 2009 Author Report Posted August 21, 2009 I had one person say it was 5-5, another said 5-4 in Hardin's favor. I missed it, but it should have helped both teams get ready for week 0.
Castor27 Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 5-3 was right. HJ scored twice in Controlled part and 3 times in quarters. Hardin scored 1 in controlled and 2 in quarters. Hardin scored 1 HJ 0 in JV controlled portion. Neither team dominated the other. To answer the question above, I am not sure who the Villemez kid is, but I know Hardin had a player that sat out and I was told it was one of their best players. Not sure if it was him or someone else.
