JohnnyT60 Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 It was a scrimmage, but still a very positive step.

AggiesAreWe Posted August 22, 2009 Author Report Posted August 22, 2009 Your updates were good AAW....just wondering if you were on the sidelines with Silsbee while you were updating ;D (Or do you just go on the opponents' sidelines? LOL) Did it all from the comfy confines of the pressbox. Enjoyed the AC!

AggiesAreWe Posted August 22, 2009 Author Report Posted August 22, 2009 Of those 33 carries, I would say it was spread pretty evenly over 5 backs. LCM 2nd team offense ran the last 12 running plays and 2 of those backs split those carries.
bearmom Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 There is no more "BOJO", that has been put to rest! All signs of BOJO are being erased! Great job bears!
AggiesAreWe Posted August 22, 2009 Author Report Posted August 22, 2009 I was suprisingly impressed with LCM. The biggest change I saw tonight was the attitude of the team. It is 180 degrees from the last few years. That's a big start for this team. Like Chad said, LCM has them a coach now. Randy will make a difference for the Bears. LCM has some good numbers with some good size and a little speed to boot. They may suprise some folks this season but definetly the Bears are headed in the right direction. Silsbee needs improvement on the defensive side. The youth on the line and in the secondary showed tonight. Also, Silsbee had a very poor tackleing game. Too many missed or broken tackles. The Tigers have to step it up on the defensive side or the offense will really have to score alot of points to combat that weakness. Silsbee's offense is concentrating on working on the passing game. They ran the ball very well early in the scrimmage but kind of went away from it to work on the passing game. Jeremy wasn't too sharp tonight, over threw a few open recievers. I believe that when these games start counting, the Tiger offense will come together more, starting with running the ball a bit more. Glad all this is over, now let's get the real stuff going. Week 0, here we come!!!
AggiesAreWe Posted August 22, 2009 Author Report Posted August 22, 2009 how did the freshman and jv do? No team scored. They only scrimmaged about 40 minutes.
AggiesAreWe Posted August 22, 2009 Author Report Posted August 22, 2009 Not true, the Silsbee JV scored once. I must have missed that. I did have to make a quick run downstairs. ;D
nikespeed Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 How did the recievers do in this new offense? Any names? i heard gonzales did really well though. Seeing some good things coming out of the bear cave ;D
td Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 I agree with AAW, it is 180 degrees from the Bears of last year. You could just see the difference in the way the kids handled themselves. Congrats to the Bears. Regardless of what their record is at the end of the year, Coach Crouch has them headed in the right direction. Good job Coach.
mactiger Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 Not true, the Silsbee JV scored once. I must have missed that. I did have to make a quick run downstairs. ;D Yeah they did!!! ;D
