LAST MEETING: South won 21-13 in the state large-schools semifinals

PLAYERS TO WATCH: South running back David Sollars has 147 yards on 32 carries. Dimond quarterback Ahmad Nasir is third in the CIC with 262 yards passing.

THE SKINNY: Dimond needs a win to avoid going winless against its two south-side rivals after falling 49-3 to Service last week. The Wolverines have won six of seven meetings between the two schools, with Dimond's lone win coming during the 2005 regular season.
