liltex Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Liberty/Chambers County teams to get some coverage from the Bmt.paper LOL
Guest ECBucFan Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 Liberty/Chambers County teams to get some coverage from the Bmt.paper LOL Chambers County directly borders Jefferson Co. (to the west) just the same as Hardin Co. borders Jefferson Co. (to the north), and Orange Co. (to the east), but Chambers Co. almost doesn't exist coverage wise through the years. WO-S, LC-M, Lumberton, Silsbee, etc. all have tons of coverage, Anahuac, EC, BH, Liberty, etc., little or none... Even more noticeable is Jasper and Newton. They get more coverage than Chambers and they are two countys away!
liltex Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 When Dayton was stomping those 20-4A teams the paper ran a huge team profile w/pics of players, coaches etc.No Broncos.Chron.paper runs a article when most others have gone to roundball.Doesn't the same family own both?I think it's advertizing $$$$$$$$$ spent that's the REAL reason not readers buying a paper.
Guest ECBucFan Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 I hear you, but (lack of) coverage was in place far, far before Dayton was realigned into the Bmt. area.

Dayton got plenty of coverage when yall 'squeeked' past Cenral (was definately not a 'stomping') in 2006.

If you really want coverage by the largest newspaper here you have to be either a Beaumont school or a Mid-County school.
LTrain Posted August 25, 2009 Report Posted August 25, 2009 Or beat one the Mid cnty or Bmnt schools and that still isnt a guarantee
