UKCats Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 Huntington plays Tarkington in Tarkington this Friday night for week 0. What do you guys think? Last year the Horns won on a "pick 6" with less than 10 ticks left in the game. New coach, new team. . .let me hear it!
jdb*** Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 I watched Huntington on film they looked big and slow, which is someting I should know about, anyway, Tarkington has some speed, so I say if the can get any line play at all they will win. I'll pick Tarkington. Good luck Cucco, Consimeu, and gang.
j_dog Posted August 26, 2009 Report Posted August 26, 2009 Huntington is my sentimental pick. They have been down forever and deserve a breakthrough if ever anyone did. (They are also a fellow district team! ;D )
txcan Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 I say Huntington by 10. Huntington is big and slow, but playing it to their advantage. Their coach has a good system for their kids. I say if they can contain Tarkingtons QB (who looks pretty tough) they will do well....if not he could be dangerous.
Go-rilla Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 T-town by 30+ This is against Huntington TX right????
no-look Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 T-town by 30+ This is against Huntington TX right???? What are you saying Go-rilla?.........I got Huntington by 6..............
Go-rilla Posted August 27, 2009 Report Posted August 27, 2009 I'm saying come on!!!! Huntington does produce a mighty mean RIBIT lure, but that is about it!!!

UKCats Posted August 27, 2009 Author Report Posted August 27, 2009 The softball team is good, but I was pretty sure I posted to the FOOTBALL thread. I will go back and double check to be sure.

Kat's is this the Dan Patrick or Keith Oberman sp show? Loosing up kid game time and come out of your shell. ??? Were just funning.
UKCats Posted August 28, 2009 Author Report Posted August 28, 2009 Yeah I know that's what the " " was for. . .didja catch that?
txcan Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Now lets be honest. I can see where a Tarkington fan, or any other fan would bet against the Devils, but lets be honest....30? I'll take that under anyday of the week and twice on Sunday. In fact, I'll take Huntington and give you 8 points....any takers? Huntington JV 8 Tarkington JV 0

UKCats Posted August 28, 2009 Author Report Posted August 28, 2009 Not real sure. Like I said, new coach, and he has been trying some things. However, nothing definite that I can see. Looks a little like a spread of some kind.
HeeHaw Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 Who did they scrimmage and how did they look?
rapayne Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 I will be there live for this historical matchup of the titans and am looking forward to watching two groups of kids that I am certain would love to see the tides change for their schools, so hopefully tonight we can all say was the night the Longhorns and Red Devils played like kings and a tradition was born in both towns. Lord isn't this what it is all about that first night out of the shoot and just seeing what happens.
frosty Posted August 28, 2009 Report Posted August 28, 2009 has tarkington ever lost to huntington at the varsity level?
rapayne Posted August 29, 2009 Report Posted August 29, 2009 Solid game by both squads, very prepared. Tarkington had one heck of a comeback in the end though!
