District 38 doesnt seem to have any middle ground, either good or bad. This does not help the top teams to get ready for the playoffs, hope they load their early schedules up w/ some better caliber teams.

of course district 38 is a way tougher district!

im looking to see hf in a playoff spot but idk it will
be tough, only time will tell what the out come is.

good luck to all teams!

district 38 is harder? i remember this being the mantra from last years soccer season as well.. however, if i recall correctly and by all means feel free to set me straight if im mistaken, but i do believe that the teams from district 37 swept district 38 in the first round of playoffs this past season. No team out of 38 advanced past the 1st round

PNG Girls Varsity is gonna dominate again this year winning district.
It's a no-brainer.

As flattering it is that you support PNG soccer so much, please don't be cocky about it. Cockiness is not the way to support our team, it only serves as an embarrassment to the program by making out all PNG fans and players to be this way. It's unecessary. Support your team in a more productive way please, for the program and the players. Thank-you!

Nike5 i think that the statement you have made can not be true when hf varsity beat lumberton's varsity team 2-1 in the PNG tournament Jan 7, 2010. Lumberton was district 37's district champs and first year HF varsity team left the field triumphant.

I would say that both districts are very difficult and should make for an exciting season. Be looking for district 38's titans, nederland to be doing some damage as well as png who is always eager to thrill the crowd

First off congrats on an impressive start to the HF season, but in all fairness to base an entire season prediction off of 1 tournament game is not far to either team.. Both teams will have to work hard throughout the season to continue their success..

    • I too, wish #15 was healthy and playing.  And also another RB (can't recall the #), who went down in the first game of the season. But, some others have stepped up and are hard runners.  I'm really looking forward to watching this game.
    • Still, from what little I saw, it should have been a much closer game.  WOS was missing some fundamentals on defense, and a lack of imaginative play calling on offense.  Just my opinion as an objective observer on Texan Live, which was horrible btw, but that's another story.
    • Either way,one game lead in the series. I rely to much on word of mouth
    • West Orange Stark has been a powerhouse since I csn remember. At some point, your bound to fall off to some degree. Alabama has 3 or 4 loses this season. Who would have thought? Has Orange lost kids to LCM or even Orangefield?
    • Interesting matchup this Friday. Both teams have very good offensive and defensive lines, which will make this game interesting. Having watched Texas High all season, they have a wide open offense with very good skill players. If you look at their stats they run the ball 57% of the time and pass 43% of the time. Personally, that is a bit deceiving, as most of their games have seen reserves running the ball in the 4th quarter. I would estimate the primary offense is 50/50. Through 12 games they have run for 3,224 yds (48tds) and passed for 2,894 yds (32 yds). Potter, the Tiger QB, has been very efficient with a 69% completion rate and 1 interception (which came from a tipped pass). The passing is distributed primarily to 4 receivers…. Ball (865), Wrightner (811), Montgomery (532), & Pilgreen (392). The rushing comes from 3 running backs … Johnson (1,432), Ball (768) & Moore (716).  The Tiger defense is solid and very quick.    Hope #15 is healthy enough to play. He is a test for any defense. I was concerned about the Nederland RB, but felt Texas High did a good job containing him. I wish this game was in the afternoon, as Nachitoches is having their Festival of Lights and their will not be any rooms in the inns and restaurants will be full so plan accordingly. PNG are state champions until someone knocks them off, so I extend the Indians the respect they deserve. Pulling for the Tigers.
