downgoesfrazier Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 The homerism on this board is astounding. Why even ask for the players of the week, when each poster invariably will choose some guy from their team that had a good game, 200 yds and 3 td's less than the real player of the week.

The main point of this thread is to recognize players that had standout performances for the week. If you think someone had a game worth recognizing, then nominate them. Lots of good players in the area that all deserve some pub. Offense- Ploch- Dayton Deffensive- Dunbar-PN-G
sportster Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 East Chambers QB, Hank Jones, had 110 yds passing for 1 TD and 119 yds rushing for 4 TD's.

All anybody can do is nominate players that they have actually SEEN play. The stats will speak for themselves.
Fishingislife Posted September 1, 2009 Report Posted September 1, 2009 Dylan Smith LB from Buna 15 tkls, 4 caused fumbles, 3 sacks, and a blocked punt. Had a great game was all over the place!

I missed the subject line that said "name players who had good games so we can recognize them". I've got no problem whatsoever recognizing any and all players for their accomplishments, but if the thread title is for players of the week, don't tell me about some guy who had 80 yds rushing or a guy that kicked some extra points. I'd be willing to bet that every person that nominated someone like that was just nominating someone from their school who had a good game. Hence the homerism.l
liltex Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 As far as the offensive player thru week #2 if Ploch has a really good game again against Friendswood then he is at the head of this list in that category.
rollinac Posted September 2, 2009 Report Posted September 2, 2009 Payton Ploch qb dayton 256 yards rushing 3 td's 140 yards passing and 2 touchdowns Wow no kidding...in his first game ever as a QB?? Not bad....

Foyce Posted September 3, 2009 Report Posted September 3, 2009 The whole offensive line of the Pirates. They are enabling the running backs to get the big gains!
