Bobcatfan4life Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Who ya got next week? It's the Bobcats home opener
lhsof23 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 lost to east chambers with 30 secs left 35-28 and beat buna 34 to 17
Cardinal Supporter Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 Gut feeling says Liberty but I will be pulling for Orangefield.
PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 I think that Liberty is more prepared for this game than Orangefield. They played BC and HF. Two totally different teams in my opinion. BC like to air it out and HF keeps it on the ground. I think Liberty has the edge here but if they dont hold on to the ball they'll have their hands full just like these last two weeks.
BCcardbacker Posted September 6, 2009 Report Posted September 6, 2009 I think OF wins this one by 10.
Bobkat Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 If Orangefield's defense plays like it did against Buna in the 2nd half, I think the Bobcats have the edge. If not, this could be the last team with the ball wins type game. Orangefield 38 Liberty 28

BACK IN THE DAY Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Who ya got next week? It's the Bobcats home opener Orangefield by 17
PANTHERPLAYA09 Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 No way they win by seven. Either team. Its going to be a touchdown or less.
HORNSFAN86 Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 I do not know much about the Bobcats, but I did get to see Liberty first hand Friday night. This one will be a close game in that I think HF and OF are about the same caliber of teams. Liberty has a real good offense with descent size and speed. I was impressed with their QB, reminded me of Lumberton's and he throws a pretty sweet pass. I do not see many 3A teams in this area being able to completely stop their running game. The 12,000 lb gorilla is their defense, they give up a bunch yards & points. If Liberty plays better defensively they should win this game. Sorry my 21-3A brethren, I just call'em like I see'em. Liberty : 42 OF: 35
Bobkat Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 Turnovers will be the key to this game. If Liberty puts it on the ground, Orangefield wins. I think Orangefield has turned every turnover into points this year...and they haven't put the ball on the ground many times this year if any. I know it's only two games, but the Cats are very disciplined in that area and I see that continuing...knock on wood Cats!!!
Panthers2010 Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 if liberty can have a great push from their d line they should mess up that funky running game OF has. libertys d line is probably one of the strongest in SE texas so it will be a major aspect of the game.

No sir. Lol no way. Liberty has a very athletic dline but they are far from the best in SETX. WOS Memorial Dayton Cleveland Id say that Liberty's Oline will be the ones that will make a difference. Liberty's Oline will have to control Orangefield's D. Theyre going to have to make some wholes because I really dont see Liberty having a passing game agianst Orangefield. And Bobkat, Liberty has turned almost every turnover into points too.
Bobkat Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 Like I said in an earlier post...last team with the ball could win this one!!!
Panthers2010 Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 i meant in 3a SE texas. and powerhouses like WOS and cleveland are expected. but liberty is right behind that with brents robinson and goodman.
Guest bleed orange Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 Orangefield is getting better each week. Coach Huck is just what our kids needed. There has been some good battles in the past between our two team. This year will be no different. Have a safe trip over panthers fans and players and "welcome" to our house. The atmosphere will be electric.
Rebel4Christ Posted September 8, 2009 Report Posted September 8, 2009 Will someone please PM me directions from College St in Beaumont to the stadium at Orangefield. I'll be making the trip Friday night and I'm not sure how to get there. thx
