Well blackflag... as much as I would love to say the Dogs, I was actually thinking WO-S. There linebacking group is by far the best in the area... if not the state...

badndn Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 I am not sure PNG is the best, but the PNG defense has 10 turnovers in 2 games and pretty much won the BH game in week 0 because the offense was innaffective. Hard to argue with those numbers this early in the season. And many of those turnovers were forced. Time will tell!

That wy we should know what we are up against and it will go down hill from there! My vote is for Central. ;D
w Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 I don't think WOS' defense is quite there yet. Give them a couple more games and we'll re-address the situation then but calling them the best this year is a stretch. They are very, very young!

When you touch the ball against the indians you can expect to get lit up. Central is very good but of course i have to go with my purple.
BMTSoulja1 Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 We played lights out last week, but lets not forget that we started the season off and gave up a lot of yards to Memorial. Have a hard hitting good run defense but pass defense will now need to improve. We will be tested later in district since our next two oponents are running teams (Galveston Ball and Vidor). Hopefully when this gets worked on, it will not take away from our run defense or hard hitting...

82 5A State Champs Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 West Brook's defense is pretty tough as well. The Bruins, who have been known in recent years to have lots of offensive firepower, are relying more on defense to win games thus far in 2009. In 8 quarters of play, we have given up only 8 points. Brook's defense has to be right there at the top.
