akifan94 Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Nothing better than beating the refs and a mouthy football team. That is going to be one hell of a long bus ride home. ;D
maverick Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Nothing better than beating the refs and a mouthy football team. That is going to be one heck of a long bus ride home. ;D Looking at the weather radar, it will be one heck of a long and wet ride back to Texas City.
NDNWarrior Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 WAY TO GO, INDIANS!!! Much impressed with the Indians tonite. The defense stepped up and got the job done! The Indians went out there and played with a lot of heart. Will have next week off to get ready for district. Indians getting better and better with each passing week!
PNG Proud Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Any time you can hold a team like that to ZERO first downs in the 1st half, you're playing some really good D. Too bad we couldn't beat the refs too in the 2nd. They were some really awful refs. And before some of you PNG haters get on here and say we're making excuses, just watch the game on the net tomorrow, at the very end of the 4th Q, and watch the push-off for the TD catch. THEN come in here and argue the point with me. Overall, it was a really fun game to watch, and I'm happy that the game wasn't ultimately decided by the stripes. Great game Indians!
prepballfan Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 You could not ask for a better defensive game. PN-G only gave up 151 yards the entire game. We had another 2 or 3 turnovers. What a game from the Indians. Texas City had 11 yards at the half and no first downs.
liltex Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Saw the 1st half and PNG looked great, defense swarmed to the ball and shut down T City.Thought it would have been a blowout so I drove to Lumberton & got there early 4th qtr.Wow what happened in the 3rd/4th quarter @ the reservation?
Lamar1996 Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 Was it just me or did TC #12 lineup offside on the extra point and two field goals he blocked during this game. Â Everytime, he was a full half yard off sides. Â I never heard of kicks (3 in one game) being block in a high school games very often, but it sure did tonight. Â I'm so proud of all the Indians, they played with a lot of heart to beat a decent TC team & the REF's. Â Now our record is 0-0 again. Â Good luck to every team in our district, because my Indians are certainly on a WarPath like no other.
Jackthehammer Posted September 12, 2009 Report Posted September 12, 2009 I think PNG is rounding in to a good team but they blew a 16 to nothing lead and there defense only gave up 151 yards. What am I missing here. bad special teams play or offensive turnovers? What happened to blow the lead? Dissappointing 2nd half.
